And in the spirit of that, it’s time for all the soul searching and goal setting that goes hand in hand with the changing of the calendar year. Personally, I try to set goals for myself because I once attended a lecture that asked us…’How will you know when you’ve made an achievement, if you didn’t write down your goals to do it?”….It stuck in my mind and I find that it is really a blast when I look back at my list of goals and discover that I can place little check marks next to them.
My three Scottish historical are finished. My first sale to a large publisher was a goal for several years and I’m still giddy. Every time I look at the cover for ‘In Bed With A Strange’…I still smile. You know the smile, that one that you know is bright even when you can’t see yourself. It’s up for pre-order on Amazon.
I also finished another book that is uncontracted but I love it. So selling it is on my list of goals for 2009.
As far as writing goes, I plunged into another historical book this month. Once it’s finished I plan to sit back and take stock of what I should write after that.
I’ll be attending the Romantic Times convention this spring and even teaching a workshop.
Here’s raising a cheer for a new season and all the possibilities in front of us!
